We have an exciting opportunity within our Works department who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Machine Mechanic.
About the role:
You will join on a full time, permanent basis (40 hours per week).
The postholder will be responsible for the repair and maintainance of the estates departments machinery including two stroke, petrol as well as larger diesel grass cutting machinery and tractors. The college also has a small number of battery powered buggies and equipment that will need maintaining.

Key responsibilities (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements):
- Maintaining and repairing the machinery held in the department
- Recording the repairs and maintenance carried out using the college online system
- Carrying out inspections on machinery as needed for compliance purposes
- Helping manages the stock of consumable products such as oils and filters.
Person Specification
The successful incumbent must have
- Full and valid driving licence.
- Desirable to have a qualification relevant to the role
- Experience of maintaining a wide range of machinery and power tools
- Have worked in a role as a mechanic for at least 3 years
